Ever played a bit of Golf?
I watched Tony Robbins on youtube the other day and he was speaking to his audience about his first golf lesson. He said that on the first day of his lesson he was hitting the golf ball as hard as he could and every ball he swung at was going off target. He got really frustrated and turned to his trainer for advice. What his trainer said shocked him...
"Tony, you're just off by 1mm! If you just get your club to hit the ball by 1mm to the side, you'll get your shot right! You won't even have to hit it so hard!"... "1mm?" Tony thought. Here he was huffing and puffing to change his game and get his ball on target and all he needed to do was change his swing by a milimeter? Tony took the advice and to his astonishment that 1mm change made such an immense difference! His whole game changed from just a tiny 1mm change of his stroke. Instead of landing in the ditch or in some pond his ball was landing on target!
He used that example to demonstrate the power of a little but of change. Most people think they have to make huge changes to their lifestyles in order to achieve their dreams. They think that it's going to take a lot of hard work to buy their dream home or dream car. What they don't realize is, more often than not it's the small changes that make the big difference in our lives. How many times have you seen the guy who works his butt off at work end up like everybody else? He tries and tries and tries and ends up bitter and frustrated! Discipline and hard work can only take you so far. We all know deep down inside that there's something else that really makes the big difference and that sets us apart from the norm.
That something is only 1mm!
There's a lot of power in a little bit of change if you know what it is you need to change. Most people want to change but don't know what is the right 1mm to change. So they go around trying every other thing and end up exhausted and frustrated. The key to success is to find out what your 1mm is. The right 1mm will make a huge difference in your life!
I started this blog in hopes that it would help you find your 1mm!
